Rutland Pharmacy is pleased to offer Aetrex’s iStep revolutionary digital foot analysis system. iStep tests are recommended for all people at risk with Diabetes as well as anyone who want to feel great on their feet.
In less than 30 seconds the iStep will capture your foot type, pressure points and shoe size and then help recommend the ideal footwear and orthotics for your individual needs.
Combining the iStep technology with the complete line of Aetrex footwear allows you to select therapeutic footwear in high syle for both men and women.
With the passing of the Therapeutic Shoe Bill, Medicare (Part B) extended coverage to patients with diabetes for footwear and inserts. Protective footwear can help in the fight to prevent the thousands of diabetic amputations that occur each year.
WHAT IS COVERED?
Coverage is limited to one of the following within 1 calendar year:
● 1 pair of off-the-shelf depth shoes and up to 3 additional pair of multi-density inserts.
● 1 pair of off-the-shelf depth shoes including a modification, and up to 2 additional pairs
of multi-density inserts.
● 1 pair of custom molded shoes and up to and up to 2 additional pairs of
multi-density inserts.
Coverage is limited to shoes and inserts meeting certain requirements for patients with specific clinical conditions. Please ask one of our iStep specialists for more information.
